The opportunity / Wine in a can
For younger adults who find wine complicated, a familiar can makes the first step easier. A transparent can adds something more: you can see what you’re choosing.

The colour and clarity are there to see. Transparency gives the buyer a direct product cue before the first sip.
Our proposition: combine a familiar format with visible wine, making discovery feel more approachable.
The visible difference
We invite new consumers to discover wine—then hide it behind aluminium. It’s like giving them a constant blind tasting: no colour, no clarity, no visual first impression. Let them see what they’re about to taste.
Keep the convenience. Reveal the wine.

Opaque pack. Hidden wine.
The same easy-open idea. Now the wine is part of the first impression.
PETCANWINE® / A visible difference
The colour. The clarity. The aromatic expression. Let people see your wine, with a pack designed to preserve the flavour you created.
Wine critic Eric Boschman describes Rosé by HOLA in a PET can as retaining its sensory character. Visibility and wine protection belong in the same story. Read his review

The PETCANWINE® advantage
Eight reasons to put your wine in a pack that shows its character and protects what matters.

Visibility
Seeing the colour and clarity gives consumers a direct cue about the wine. An open first impression can help build confidence before they buy.
Explore this valueBrand expression
Your wine supplies the colour. Your design frames it. Transparent labels make the actual product part of its own appeal.
Explore this valuePerception
We taste with more than our tongue. Wine-colour research shows that what we see shapes aroma and flavour expectations. Let the first impression begin with the wine itself.
Explore this valueProduct protection
Years of development and testing inform our proprietary combination of oxygen scavengers and light-protection barriers, designed to extend the wine’s drinking window.
Explore this valueMaterial architecture
Wine is held by a PET body rather than a lined aluminium wall. This changes the wine-contact system and avoids the metal-body pathway behind some sulphur-related off-aromas.
Explore this valueMaterial choice
Easy-open convenience. A visible PET body. Packaging production backed by the supplier’s FSSC 22000 food-safety and ISO 9001 quality reference.
Explore this valuePractical use
Compact, ready to open and less prone to shattering than glass. PET and aluminium cans share portability and single-serve convenience.
Explore this valueCustomisation
Transparent labels, sleeves and tactile finishes give your brand room to express itself while keeping the wine in view.
Explore this valueThe life of your wine
Oxygen, light and heat can change a fresh wine over time. The job of the pack is to slow that change, from filling to the first sip.
At filling
Oxygen dissolved in the wine and trapped in the headspace starts the exposure.
During storage
Oxygen can enter through a permeable pack. Light and warmer storage add stress.
Chemical evolution
Protective sulphites are consumed; oxidation reactions can change aroma and colour.
At the first sip
Fruit character can fade, colour can brown, and oxidative notes can emerge.
Our oxygen-management and light-protection blend is designed around the wine. Our 12-month shelf-life guarantee is specific to our PET blend of scavengers and barriers, with the agreed wine, filling and storage conditions.

A different wine-contact system
Some aluminium wine-can liners allow sulphur dioxide to interact with the metal body, producing unwanted sulphur aromas. PETCANWINE® replaces that body with PET, removing the aluminium body wall from the equation. The closure remains aluminium. Cornell research
Designed around your wine
Our focus moves to active oxygen management and light protection — preserving the wine’s character in a body consumers can see through.
Preserving flavour is the goal.
Why the exact materials matterThe industry conversation / Published perspectives
Published perspectives on alternative packaging, plus Eric Boschman’s review of Rosé by HOLA in a PET can.
Jancis Robinson / Wine writer & Master of Wine
“for the sake of the planet we need to look more favourably on the alternatives”
Her 2021 article discusses recycled PET wine bottles and encourages alternatives for wine consumed soon after purchase, while retaining glass for long ageing.
The glass may not be greener · 2021Andrew Jefford / Decanter wine writer
“I love the aesthetics of the bottle, its stackability, its low carbon footprint and its practicality”
Writing about Garçon’s PET bottle, Jefford recognises its design and logistics benefits, alongside concerns about plastic waste and ageing limits.
Trouble with bottles · 2018Eric Boschman / Wine critic
“Sur le plan organoleptique, les caractéristiques de la canette ne nuisent pas au vin.”His review discusses Rosé by HOLA in a transparent PET can: visible colour and a wine whose sensory character is retained.

B2B packaging / Your questions
The essentials for your wine, packaging and production project.

B2B transparent PET-can packaging for wine and oxygen-sensitive beverages, with a route to industrial filling and scale. Choose empty cans, packaging plus filling, or a complete wine-and-packaging project.
Our current format is the slim 250 ml PET can. Other sizes and shapes can be developed around your brief, with tooling, volume planning and technical validation.
Both are development applications. We confirm pressure, closure, wine compatibility and filling requirements for your selected configuration.
A can makes wine easy to open and take along. Transparent PET adds colour and clarity to the first impression, helping consumers choose without needing to be wine experts.
Our proprietary PET blend combines oxygen scavengers and barriers with light protection. Controlled filling, sealing and storage complete the protection system.
Our 12-month guarantee applies specifically to the PETCANWINE® scavenger-and-barrier blend, with the agreed wine, filling and storage conditions. It does not apply to standard untreated PET.
The goal is to preserve the wine’s original character. Our protected blend manages oxygen and light exposure; sensory performance is assessed with the chosen wine and complete pack.
A transparent PET body lets you see the wine and replaces the lined aluminium wall. Cornell research links some wine-and-liner combinations to sulphur-related off-aromas. The aluminium closure remains part of our hybrid pack.
Tea, juice, botanical RTDs and functional drinks are potential applications. We assess each recipe’s oxygen sensitivity, acidity, light exposure and processing requirements.
Send your beverage type, indicative volume and preferred service route. We define the pilot, compatibility work, commercial terms and industrial production plan. Recycling and environmental claims are assessed for the final pack and target market.
